Registrations 
To register for the conference, please fill out this online registration form by choosing the appropriate ticket category. You can then choose between in-person and online participation. Participants who will attend online will receive more information on how to connect remotely closer to the date. 

Organisers 
The European Environmental Bureau set up in 1974, the EEB is Europe’s largest network of environmental citizens’ organisations, bringing together over 180 organisations from 40 countries, including a growing number of European networks, with a combined membership of an estimated 30 million people.

We strive to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to engage fully. Please let us know if you have a request or inquiry about accessibility when registering for the event. For the Annual Conference, interpretation to sign language will be available on request no later than the 20th of April. To be respectful of those with allergies and environmental sensitivities, we ask that you please refrain from wearing strong fragrances and we would like to remind guests to please refrain from bringing food with allergens such as nuts.

 

Environmental and Sustainability Policy 
We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and continually improving our environmental performance. The 2024 Annual Events are organized in line with the EEB’s Environmental and Sustainability Policy. Participants are encouraged to use the most environmentally friendly mode of transportation possible. We favour sustainable caterers with high social responsibility standards that use seasonal and locally sourced bio-products whenever possible. We only serve vegetarian and vegan food to reduce the environmental impact of EEB events and meetings. We will strive to minimize left-overs and look for solutions where they can be donated to charities or similar.

EEB Annual Conference Reception Tuesday 13 May 2024

The Reception will be hosted by Brussels Town Hall. The address of the Town Hall is Grand Place, 1000 Brussels, Belgium.

 

Accommodation 

EEB members and speakers will stay at Motel One Brussels for the duration of the annual events. The address is Rue Royale 120, 1000 Brussels, Belgium.  

 

HOW TO GET THERE  

  • From Brussels Zaventem Airport to Hotel Motel One
    Take the IC Train from Brussels Zaventem Airport to Brussels Central Station, get off at Bruxelles-Central and walk approximately 8 minutes to the hotel. Alternatively, you can take the bus 272 from Brussels Zaventem, which operates frequently between the Airport and the city center. Get off at Botanique, which is 8 minutes’ walk from the hotel.   • From Brussels Zaventem Airport to BEL Brussels – Annual Conference and AGM meeting venue. Take the IC Train from Brussels Zaventem Airport to Brussels Nord Station, which operates frequently between the Airport and the city center. Get off at Bruxelles-Nord and take bus 88 or 57 and get off at Tour Et Taxis which is 2 minutes’ walk from BEL Brussels. Map and directions for this route here.
  • From Brussels Charleroi Airport to Hotel Motel One
    Take the Flibco bus and get off at Brussels South/Midi Station, then take the IC Train or the S6 to Bruxelles-Central, which is an 8 minutes’ walk from Motel One. From Midi Station you can also take metro line 2 or 6 direction Elisabeth, get off at Arts-Loi and walk 10 minutes. Map and directions for this route here.
  • From Brussels Charleroi Airport to BEL Brussels – Annual Conference and AGM meeting  venue
    Take the Flibco bus and get off at Brussels South/Midi Station, then take the Metro 3 (direction Esplanade) from Gare Du Midi and get off at Rogier. From the Rogier Metro Stop walk 1 minute to Rogier bus stop to take bus 88 and get off at Tour et Taxis. Map and directions for this route here .
  • From Brussels Central station to the Hotel Motel One. The hotel is a 10-minute walking distance from Brussels Central Station. Map and directions can be found here.
  • From Brussels Central station to BEL Brussels – Annual Conference and AGM meeting venue
    Take the IC Train from Bruxelles-Central to Bruxelles-Nord, get off at Bruxelles-Nord and then walk 2 minutes to the Bruxelles Nord bus stop to take Bus R30. Get off at Brussel Suzan Daniel and then walk 5 minutes to BEL Brussels. Map and directions for this route can be found here.
  • From Hotel Motel One to BEL Brussels. Walk 4 minutes to Parc and take Metro 1 (direction Gare de l’Ouest) and get off at Comte de Flandre. From the metro stop walk towards the bus stop Comte de Flandre and take bus 86 to get off at Tour and Taxis. Map and directions for this route can be found here.
  • From Motel One to Brussels Town Hall 
    The distance from Motel One and Brussels Town Hall is about 1 km and approximately a 12 minutes’ walk. Map and directions for this route can be found here.
